Satinder Sartaj concentrated on his sufiana musical career having done his M. Phil in Sufi music singing and later a doctorate in Sufi singing (gayan) from Punjab University, Chandigarh Satinder also completed a Certificate Course and Diploma in Persian It was in college, when he also started writing poetry and adopted his(poetic name) Sartaaj.

Jagjit Singh, born Jagmohan Singh(8 February 1941 – 10 October 2011), was a prominent Indian Ghazal singer, songwriter and musician. Known as the "Ghazal King", he gained acclaim together with his wife, another renowned Indian ghazal singer Chitra Singh in the 1970s and 1980s. Their combination album comprising music from the films, Arth and Saath Saath is the HMV's largest selling combination album of all time. Jagjit Singh'smagnum opus double album with Lata Mangeshkar holds the same record in non-film. He sang in numerous languages. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the government of India in 2003.
Gurdas Maan (Punjabi: ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਮਾਨ) is an Punjabi singer, songwriter, choreographer, and actor. He is considered one of the most notable figures in the world of Punjabi music. He was born in Giddarbaha village of Indian Punjab and gained national attention in 1980 with the song "Dil Da Mamla Hai." Since then, he has gone on to record over 34 albums and has written over 305 songs.
